Otherworldly

Ghosts, Spirits, and a Demon-defying Goddess

Three internationally-renowned performers join host and adjunct faculty member
Regina Ress in a program of diverse stories and styles of storytelling to celebrate
Halloween. Laura Simms weaves an ancient Egyptian tale, found on the back of
a papyrus, with the personal story of what happened after her mother’s death.

Therese Folkes Plair brings South Carolina Sea Islands ghost stories from her
Gullah/Geechee heritage. Bharatanatyam dancer Sonali Skandan offers the story
of the fiercely powerful goddess Durga, who is chosen to destroy the evil demon
Mahisasura. And Regina will have a thing or two to say about the ghosts right
here in Greenwich Village!

Admission is free and box office opens at 2:00PM- first come first serve.
